Santa Cruz County - the quintessential California beach vacation!

An array of attractions await: from the family-fun thrill & excitement of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, to the majestic redwood forests,  the arts and cultural events of Downtown Santa Cruz. Explore the Central Coast seaside destination and discover an enchanting blend of nostalgia and natural beauty.

  • Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk - Get on the excitement at the Admission-Free Beach boardwalk. Enjoy the free Outdoor Summer Concerts, the thrilling roller Coaster, or the Funnel Cakes...know wonder it was "Voted best Seaside Amusement park"
  • Lighthouses, Beaches and Parks - Tour scenic West Cliff Dr. or Visit one of the State Parks Santa Cruz County has to offer. Experience the miles and miles of beaches, go surfing, beach combing, build a sand castle, have a picnic...the possibilities and opportunities are endless!
  •  Shopping - Visit the charming shops and galleries of Downtown Santa Cruz, just steps away walk from the Inn. Convenient and Grocery stores are also nearby!
  • Food and Drink! - Visit one of the many fine restaurants of Santa Cruz and the surrounding area has to offer. Some favorites: Rivas on the Wharf, Cianti's, Pizza my heart, and Zacharys Cafe.
  • Wineries/Breweries/Coffee Roasters - We Californians love our local wine, beer and coffee! Visit wineries Storrs Winery on the coast, or many of the local wineries for some wine tasting! If it is beer you love, stop in at Seabright brewery for locally brewed beer (and great food, too!), or 99 Bottles in downtown. Get your daily latte fix, or pick up some freshly roasted coffee locally at Santa Cruz Roasting Co. 
  • Outdoor Recreation/Wildlife Viewing - Enjoy one of the many scenic trails the area has to offer, like the coastal beauty of West Cliff dr. Breathtaking views can be had by the Bike trails of Wilder Ranch. Try surfing, kite-surfing or kayaking with your own equipment or stop in at Santa Cruz Surf School fot rentals and lessons. Watch the harbor seals and sea lions, at the nearby Municipal Wharf. Make sure to leave time for a trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Long Marine Lab for a fun and interactive education on local and ocean wildlife.
